Birne's German–Russian dictionary uses text contributed to the German and Russian editions of Wiktionary. We thank their contributors and the people who make this structured data available.
Wiktionary contributors
Extraction and changes
The data is extracted with Wiktextract and distributed by Kaikki. Birne combines the two editions, normalizes word forms, cleans translation formatting and selects information for its word cards. These are modified extracts rather than complete copies of Wiktionary pages.
Dictionary text license
Birne uses and makes its modified Wiktionary dictionary text available under Creative Commons Attribution–ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0). Credit the contributors, preserve the source and license links, and indicate changes when reusing that text. The app's word cards link to source entries. Kaikki also describes Wiktionary's GFDL licensing option; Birne follows the CC BY-SA option.
This notice covers Wiktionary-derived dictionary text. It does not license your uploaded audio or personal study data, and it does not assign a Wiktionary license to other catalog sources. Birne is an independent project, without endorsement by Wikimedia or the source contributors.
